Numb

19 Dec 2016

Not much happened today. I was up at 0500 to give myself loads of time to make my 0740 flight home.

I think I have Christmas gifts covered with enough nice things left for me. But all of this feels a little pointless after hearing about a lorry being driven in to a Berlin Christmas market. In the Turkish capital, Ankara the Russian ambassador has been assassinated by a Turkish police officer.

This is a reminder to myself that this isn’t a diary. It’s just a daily thing to get thoughts out of my head. And if I could give any advice to our world leaders, it would be to do the same. That is, to have a think and challenge what you think. Then just perhaps, they may do the right thing when action is required.

In other news, Jediism has been refused the status of a Religion by the Charities Commission. All I can think is that it’s because it’s made up, and almost more importantly there is a lack of silly hats.

More importantly, in my opinion is that the Charity Commission gets to decide what is a religion or not. For some reason, religions need tax breaks. Perhaps religions are more about money than saving peoples souls. That is from the perspective of the people running religions. Their followers are in it to save their own souls.

Blah, blah, blah blah.

Nothing I say or thing can fix anything. So, back to plan ‘A’ and push on doing the right things.
