I’m not saying where I am, but I’ve found that my hotel bar has a dress code. I like the idea that I can rock up in tee-shirt and jeans and not be challenged. Football shirts, on the other hand can be problematic. So, my plan is to always look as if I’m wealthy enough not to need to make an impression.
So far, my looking rich but, scruffy because I can afford to seems to have worked, for me anyway. If I had the expensive sports car outside, this would complete my image, especially if I was the only one who knew that.
Einstein always wore the some clothes (and no socks), Steve Jobs wore the same trouser and crew neck tee-shirt, and finally Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook follows the trend of under-dressed super rich. I’m not trying to impress anyone either. Ok, who am I kidding! But football shirts are out. I remember the tribalism I felt in my 20’s and that would be nothing compared to other people.
I drifted for an hour – at least I think. I was off on a tangerine about dress code and booked in the the very convenient hotel next to the office which is very posh has a pool, and is cheap next week. This lets me run, swim, and chill. There’s a downside of no hotel points, but I don’t care, there’s a pool that I will use this time. And this time, I may year a shirt with black jeans, and shoes!
The joy of writing is just to let it flow and see where it goes. In this case, it’s back to the work is not important plan. Life is important, so do the important things. Maybe, sometime in the future work will satisfy my needs, but not yet.
Trust and believe in yourself, and then you’ll find your real path.
That’s more than enough for one evening. The writing has done it’s job for today.
