Sausages

I’m in Munich airport at what seems to be very, very early. There were no queues for the eight or so ‘B’ gates. I like it when each area of an airport has its own security check. And as it turns out, after buying something to bring back to the office tomorrow I’m only fifty minutes from the planned boarding time, which is currently delayed by thirty minutes. Everything feels relaxed and calm. I may go for a snack and a drink, and I may not. At the moment, I’m living off a big breakfast with loads of coffee, followed by a sausage platter and two pints of alcohol free Clausthaler lager for lunch. I was going to write about that, but instead I needed to get knife crime and Piers Morgan out of my head, all of which was triggered by smelling a strong spliff in a park.

I’m back to normal now and wondering if I needed the Chomebook, when a bluetooth keyboard and a smartphone work really well and take up less space. What I needed was 200 pounds on a tablet. The only slight downside it that I can’t see a Pound sign on this keyboard. But I think the Chromebook satisfied a curiosity and it is safer for browsing. It will be safer once I sort out a VPN, but that’s not important right now.

I do like the new habit of just typing away to fill the time. For one, I look busy, it doesn’t look like I’m working, and I’m capturing memories from my trips away. I’m not writing about the obvious things. I’m noting thoughts that will be soon out of my head that I can return to. Reading these might be uncomfortable, some may be funny, and some may be really well written. One case in point was my Prince Charles article.

Looking back, I though I’d never stay away from drink. Now after a trip to Munich I know I can. The alcohol free options help, and no-one else notices which helps too. Sometimes, I forget it’s not real beer and feel more attractive to the opposite sex, which is a much better dillussion than looking much worse than when I started, so I’ll go with that.

I’d happily return to Munich.
