Who are these people who say exercise gives them more energy? All it does to me is make me more tired. My head feels tired, my legs don’t want to get out of bed, and my arms feel really strange at the moment.
I would be much worse off if I decided not to do anything, but if I try to train up, I could hit a slump of days or weeks. Walking the tightrope and keeping the balance isn’t very easy at all. From my drinking days it is a little like trying to find out what your drinking limit is. Only on the next morning do you find out that you’ve overdone it, when you have a feeling that you already know at the time. So, I’m going to do nothing today and tomorrow and do a Parkrun on Saturday. Missing one or two runs is nothing, especially when you know you’ve done enough to be quite good. And doing nothing is tough when one message in your head is telling you a run will give you more energy, and the other says to rest – go and have a beer. This is tiring me out. Having a beer isn’t an option, even if it would make me feel better in the short-term. I’ll have to do something such as write a blog instead, and what’s the point of that?
It’s Thursday and 2235 which means it’s 5 minutes to Question Time. I almost don’t have the energy to watch it – I’ll get all exercised! At the same time I lack the fight not to watch it. The gravity of the stupidness is pulling me in. I need to watch it and at the same time I need my sleep. But I know I’ll still feel (I can’t think of the word…) fatigued when I wake up. By Saturday I will be ready to run again.
Backstop, backstop, backstop, backstop! Points of principle and no-one seems to care about the effect on the economy and everyone in it.
Missing my 400 word target again!
