I’m going for an eye test in 30 minutes. Not that I need one. At least I think I don’t. As it’s been over ten years I though I might as well have a check up. It’s always good to to know that everything is fine. I went to the dentist and knew I my knashers were good, and I’m so sure that my blood pressure will be normal I don’t even check any more. But you can keep an eye on some things and let others slip.
What I should do is mark myself on my lowest score in an area, not the best things. The neglected area could be the weak link. Now I have to think about what my next area of concentration should be. Which isn’t easy, when you have to pick up another rock and see what crawls out of it. Think of not open bills in the mail. You can’t ignore things, otherwise they’ll take up mental energy. It’s so easy to pat yourself on the back for one thing when there’s a millstone around your neck. An example would be athletes who for some reason don’t look after their teeth. Perhaps, isotonic drinks are having a big effect, or maybe they aren’t making the time to get checked out. Either way, you don’t want to fail because of a tooth infection. Well done on that time in training!
I’ll stop for my check up now. Then what do I have to look at? I have a few ideas.
So then, I’m getting reading glasses! I can see the small print, but there’s no doubt that it was better with some correction. This is something that could have happened years ago, because I haven’t noticed my eyesight getting any worse. One thing I do know is that I can’t not have them. Especially, if it helps when I get a new job. On Monday I’m going to book a hearing test. But that will be fine. My hearing is okay, but it’s worth finding out.
I don’t get my glasses until Monday 26th Feb, and that means that I’m not going to sit any exams before that. There’s no reason to make anything more difficult than it needs to be. The important thing is that I know that I may have been making things harder than they needed to be. So, I’m going to revisit my CV and LinkedIn profiles next week.
Finally, I collected my air purifier today. Will sleeping in clean air change my life? Probably not, but it might be another helpful thing which improves everything.
