The sun is out again! It feels as if it happened overnight, and now everything has changed. My blood will be thinning out and I’ll be getting ready for summer, which will be a shock when winter makes a brief comeback. But for now, everything is looking great and I can enjoy the sun and extra daylight. I’m keeping an eye on the air quality though. It’s bordering on unhealthy.
I feel that I have more energy. I’m not sure if I’m like a slinky spring or a tight coiled spring. We’ll find out later. My speed thinking and typing isn’t quite up to a ten minute blog just yet.
The slinky spring may be fun for a little while. It’s flexible, but offers little resistance. After that, it’s not much use for anything and probably breaks before it’s discarded. More importantly, it fails to do what a spring should do – it doesn’t spring!
Then there’s a big tough spring in you car’s suspension. It can take the shocks, but isn’t flexible. It’s not a toy, and doesn’t get pushed around. For the job it is designed to do it is a good fit. The problem is that it’s not flexible. Once the car is scrapped, that’s the end of it’s life.
I suppose an 11 hour gap in a post that was planned to be knocked out in ten minutes isn’t that bad!
I’m going with the spring analogy. Be flexible but not too flexible. Offer some resistance to smooth out the shocks on a bumpy road. And more importantly, spring back when you need to, but don’t stay coiled for too long, you might get rusty, or spring back without any control.
I think I’ve written enough about this one.
