Eye Exercises

I haven’t given up on eyes just yet. The next time I get checked I’m going to try and make sure they’ve improved. Convention states that my sight is not going to improve, and everyone needs reading glasses when they get older. I’m not going to argue with that, but if you’re not exercising you’re getting weaker. If you repeat something enough, it becomes true. Whereas I like to be the exception.

There are so many things to keep an eye on. Yesterday, I couldn’t touch my toes, which was a shock. I’ve been able to touch my toes for years, then one morning I couldn’t. Now I have sore hamstrings for making myself do something that I should have been able to do. What I need is a routine. Leaving things to chance isn’t a good strategy anymore. And the next thing to work out is what to put in to the routine. Sticking to the easy things would be easier, but not as worthwhile as adding the trickier jobs.

I’ve bored myself now. Look after your eyes, and your hamstrings. Then do all the other things you need to do. You know what they are, even if you won’t admit it when you’re trying to work out what to do.
