Today was my driving day, and a nice day it was too. I stopped at Fishguard and had a tour around an aquarium. This is the closest I’ve been to a shark. It wasn’t doing much when we first saw it and then the guide said it could smell something. That’s four days camping for you. I thought she was catlike even before seeing here name. It was a her she was looking after some egg sacks. Amongst other things, I held a crab, stroked a velvet crab, and freaked out at the size of a spider crab. I was pleased that there was a family with three young girls. Otherwise, it would have just been me and the guide, and less fun. Needless to say that there was another bay and beautiful blue water.

So, on to Cardigan for a quick look around, mackrel salad with coffee in a sun trap with a view of the river, and some very slow service trying to by some sun cream in the local Boots.I’ve made it to the local pub ten minutes cycle from the Dinas Farm Campsite near Llanbedr. It’s 2142, I have a few mouthfulls of a pint left, and a bottle of beer for the campsite. Time to move on to the tent – and midges!
