Interview!

I was a few minutes late for my interview today. Luckily, the interviewer forgot he’d moved it back to 1200 from 1300, which made me 45 minutes early! My decision not to panic too much on the way worked out and overall I think it went well. This was very much a first interview to see who’s out there, but I’m sure I’ve done well enough to make the cut for a second more technical test. It was much more worthwhile than a phone conversation. That’s enough job talk for now. It might be worth a beer.

As is my habit, I took my Flow with me to test the air of Basingstoke. When I’m away, I don’t get enough chances to give it a proper charge, so it’s nice to have it back. The council know it, but I took the chance to tweet them with my readings anyway.

It’s hot here. My indoor temperature was 27C yesterday, and it is 25C at 2200. I can cope with this and it’s much better than the cold. Thunder must be on the way soon, but I can’t see it in the forecast. In the meantime, I’ll struggle through and find some energy to study up on a few subjects. My time away and thinking about a new job has tired me out a little, but time is short and I have to be prepared. When I’m doing that, I’ll make sure my bags are packed for my next escape. Perhaps, I’ll head off somewhere else this weekend. Camp when the weather is good! Dorset seems like a good idea.

I’m still trying to get a response from Defra about the AURN in Reading New Town and send a Tweet each day, because I’m not getting a response from the Helpline. I’ll keep sending it until someone answers. It’s something to do!

Is anybody there? Tweet once for yes and twice for no. Has the AURN station in Reading New Town been switched off? It provided more pollutant information than the local authority air quality stations. @MattRodda@DefraUKAir@DefraGovUK
