Cold

The heating is on – just a little

I know I need to at least do something today. It’s 2247 and I’ve done almost nothing and at the same time had things to do. A good thing is that my latest Retinette 1b scans were mailed to me:

Which way do I go?

I have to say that I’m very happy with this 60 year old camera. At first, I wasn’t sure, but these pictures can draw you in. I made a few mistakes that I’ll make sure not to do again. One thing I do know is that I’ll use this camera with black and white film from now.

Cows are great subjects

Having loads of time off has at least given me the chance to find out what I like to do. In the past, running and beer filled that gap. The problem now is that I could run if I wanted to and can’t really drink – from now on I’m on a two pint limit on any day. If I could find a way to monetize the things I like doing, that would be great. But lets face it, it’s too late. This is getting tough. My worry now, is that job wise everything will be frozen until January. I’m expecting this and I need to get a few things moving again.

General election day is very soon on the 12th Dec. This is one of the last things we need and it hasn’t been a very good election campaign, because unofficially it’s been going on for months. Brexit was fun, but all of that was stopped by a Prime Minister Johnson expecting to win a large majority, which he won’t. There’s a load of uncertainty in the country, which won’t be resolved either way. And even if there is a resolution, things won’t improve soon. This is a mess and wages are low these days. I’m talking 20 years ago, low. If you’re not feeling it yet, it will affect you one way or another in the near future.

I’ll be out canvasing and working for the Greens a week on Thursday. It is good that I have something to make me feel useful and bad that I’m free to make myself useful. At least I’m doing something.

This is not one of the days when I can type and type and everything flows, but I’ve documented something. Inspiration and energy can’t be far away!
