Election Week!

This is so exciting. After years and years my website is up and running. I’m much more excited by this than by the UK General Election of 12th December 2019.

There was a time twenty years ago when getting in to website building seemed like a great idea. But then again, many people were doing the same thing and my efforts wouldn’t have been very good. This was one reason and another is that I didn’t have the equipment, the space, the will, and any content. I have these and now I have no excuse. The result is my website which is a work in progress, but at the moment I’m very happy with it.

This is slow going. My plan today was to get the day’s blog out of the way early and then pick something from my important list to do. The problem is that I’ve become more aware of writing at a higher quality than my early efforts. What I need to do is let the handbrake off and stop thinking. Thinking slows you up, when you have a brain that can do everything for you. Overthinking is the problem. On the other hand, not thinking may be a bigger problem.

My website won’t change my life. I know that it’s fine, but most of all it’s mine. I’ve made something, now I can improve on it and learn something else.

None of this is about the General Election. Or is it?

It wasn’t my intention to return to this post today, but I feel I need to. Firstly, I need to feel as if I’ve done something. I’m really trying to do things, but it’s almost impossible. This is a real pain, but I just get tired, get stuck and before I know it, the day has gone. On the plus side, all of the lower back pain I didn’t mention has gone away after some emergency stretching yesterday. Secondly, I bought a bottle of red wine when I popped out for bread and milk. And finally, I’m worried about the result of the General Election. Luckily, the current government and Prime Minister Boris are looking worse with every passing day. Unfortunately, this will be a disaster if they win a majority. This must be the worst bunch of uncaring ministers we have ever had and all we can hope is that a small number of voters in a handful of constituencies will vote the right way.

This is definitely the end.
