There’s a shameless effort to boost my word count!

I can remember a time before cut’n’paste, but I can’t imagine life without it. I can’t imagine a world without it. And on the whole, it’s probably made our lives better.

With a bit of luck. I’ll have written somewhere close to 120,000 words. Somewhere in there there will be some gold. I really hope there is. And maybe I’ll think of something to do with it. When I’m 50 may be the time. 50! How did that get so close? A good friend told me that I could release some pension funds when I’m 55 and I thought – okay. Luckily, I still seem to have my health and most of my aches and pains can be fixed by knowing how to fix them – when I remember the stretches I need to do.

It’s beyond me how and why I seem to be a bit of an exception health and fitness wise. I’m nowhere near being the fastest and strongest, but I can feel 25 again if I want to. At least I think I can from the couch, munching my second tuble of Pringles, and my third can of bitter. The bitter is Asda smart price at 4 x 2.0% for £0.90 and I don’t expect it to cause me any damage. I suppose that I’m going to have to ride or run soon and discover the reality. My current Brain Training age on the Nintendo Switch is 62 and I need a bit of good news on the fitness side of things.

This time next year I should be close to 400 entries of my 400 words. I won’t be here though. My move in to the unknown needs to happen and happen soon. I need countryside, wildlife, fresh air, and new views. All I need to do is stay young and look for an adventure. Staying put isn’t an option anymore. There are photos I need to take for a start. And being mobile is something I should have done years ago. Moving will be the best thing I’ve ever done. There’s a time when you’ve done all you can do in a place. My hi-fi needs to be played in another room, but first I’ll have to figure out where I can store it with my vinyl. I have no idea where I’m going to store my stuff, not that I have much anymore. What I am is down to the level I’m happy with. Losing more would be losing myself. I really do need those four storage boxes of run and tri event t-shirts over the last 35 years.

One thing is for sure – living and working in the EU will be out of the question. There is more I could write and that’s why I write. My plan for jumping in my car and driving away will be a good subject.
