I’m working on my website and using as many of the tools I’ve already paid for. Doing stuff takes ages.
I’d better start with a couple of words about our dear leader, Boris. As I type, he is still in an Intensive Care Unit and he is definitely not on a ventilator, but he is next to a ventilator that is definitely not being used. And this begs the question about why he would be next to one when he doesn’t need it and perhaps someone else may need. That can be answered by looking at the situation and who is involved. So, I’ll give everyone a pass on that. There are bigger questions to be asked. Firstly, how could protocol fail so badly that this could happen? Secondly, there seems to be an attitude in high levels of Government shrugging their shoulders and saying “anyone can catch this”. But Boris didn’t think that anyone could catch the virus. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have vistited hospitals with CV-19 patients and shook hands with them – the bloody fool. And if he does end up on a ventilator the best chance of survival around the world gives him 53% of walking out in whatever state he finds himself.
Having a leader in such a perilous position I both highly embarassing and dangerous for out standing in the world. The general feeling in the country is not great right now and this is a potential tradgedy for him, his family, and friends as well. This should not have been allowed to happen and cause what is becoming ever more apparent, a power vacuum in Government at this difficut time. Decisions are going to be have to be made by our leading politicians and they are not going to make them. What they are going to do is have their experts give their best advice, which will end up being the best advice they had at the time when things don’t exactly go the the plan that they don’t have. But I’m sure everything will be fine. We have the best politicians that money can buy.
I think that I may be one of millions of others who have turned away from the news. We’ll follow it a little and that’s it. Messages are becoming a bit muddled. Nurses are on radio stations ask the public not to go out unless they really need to and public health messages during ad-breaks are telling us to make sure we get out daily exercise. Lack of clear messaging and leadership will be the death of us.
Oh. I did some work on my website today.
