Life Goes On

Loads of life. I mean if you give it a chance you might get overrun with it.

There’s a lot of news going on and I’m not going to make an effort to write about it. I think the best thing would be to read about it in the future when someone else has made sense of it. After all, this was never meant to be a diary and definitely not an attempt to document the news. I’m having to point this out to myself again and I shouldn’t have to be doing that. All I can think is that my bandwidth has been taken up and my fingers wouldn’t type. All the while, life has been going on – of a sort.

I’ve been going a lot of things and not a lot of things. If I’m being pushed, I’d have to admit that I haven’t been doing enough to justify the last 18 months and lockdown has given me the excuse to do less, but I think I have tried. But looking at the same four walls in my flat is a creativity killer. This appears to be Government policy too. The Arts sector of our economy has not been bailed out and this could be a disaster.

I know I wasn’t going to talk about the the news, but I couldn’t avoid it. Life with out creative people would be dull. Music, art, and theatre can sometimes appear very strange. But it can be challenging, thought provoking, great fun, and satirical. And that’s the problem. Authoritarian types are miserable. They like conformity, money, law and order, and war.

Now that my comment on current affairs is out of the way, let’s have a look at some life!

My starlings have been a great success. They’ve been well fed and now I’m giving them less and less. I think it’s time for them to fly and look for other places to eat, but they’ll always be welcome back whilst I’m here.

I am proud of my photo collection, but sometimes a picture makes me worry for a little bird and hope they survive a tough time.

There’s not much blue tit left of this blue tit. My best hope is that it’s nothing bad and it’s a case of moulting for a second plumage. Yeah, definitely that.

The past month has been a strange one. Lockdown novelty has worn off and harsh realities are staring us in the face. I was out taking photos and flying on the road bike. And then I became very tired. Have I caught the virus? Who knows. I’m still hanging in there!

From now on, I promise to keep typing – I promise!
