No one could have predicted this – except anyone who had taken an interest.

I’ve been considering the birds of the air. They don’t do any work or owt and the Lord looks after them. I’m proud of this picture. This wood pigeon was sitting there for well over an hour. A free lunch was what it was looking for. I’ve addicted it to food, haven’t I? I’m an idiot!
It appears that this entry may not be about lockdown at all. But it was trigged by the absolute mess that’s going on. With hindsight, we could have looked back in history. That would have been sensible, but for some reason, the UK Government (of England) has decided not to use hindsight and make mistakes, which lead to the “with hindsight” get-out clause, time and time again.
Information which they don’t want to process just doesn’t register with them for some reason. Children are hungry and people are going to foodbanks and this is just a game for them. You don’t want to make people reliant on food, they’ll only want more! And if they get food vouchers, they’ll exchange them for drugs.
What spurred me to type again was the feeling of dispare I felt this week about how bad are Goverment is. They do things late, and leak them to the newspapers a few days in advance. But in the case of Lockdown 2.0, the Prime Minister was gutted that this happened. This is difficult to believe in this case. Maybe he was, but the problem is that the the mechanism for leaking was part of their way of working. So, when this “leak” happened, it shouldn’t have been too much of a surprise. Which makes me think that Bozza may have been undermined by other people in Number 10. But making big announcements the correct way, just isn’t the way things work now.
Much of what is happening now is totally unavoidable, which is understandable, given that there’s a pandemic going on. The main problem is that the pandemic is here now and not just somewhere overseas. These overseas countries have experience, and we decided to do things our way. Even with hindsight, we wouldn’t have made the right decisions, because it would conflict with their plolitics.
For the record, I just want to say what a crap timeit is that we’re living in. But we are so lucky too.
