I know that I shouldn’t miss Donald Trump, but I do.

I miss Donald. He was awful, stoked conspiracy theories (I’m pretty sure I’ve written about conspiracy and conjecture before), supported either directly or indirectly white supremacists, and played a part in an attempted coup to stay in power. But apart from that, I miss him. I don’t miss Melania though. She was awful. What I miss is/are the fake Melainai(s), for there were many. There are many examples, but I’ll only use one. This picture was taken in the finally days of Trump’s reign.

That’s not Melania.That’s a personal security attachment packing heat under a big coat. There’s a reason that MT was always wearing huge sunglasses, and that’s because they cover half of her face, and you don’t get to see the deep regret in her eyes when it’s actually the real one on display. And these lookalikes (I use that lightly) never spoke a word.

The strange thing was that people noticed, but it didn’t matter. Calling it out was pointless. There was no reason to do so and it would be denied. The point was that he could do it. If you couild do that and get away with it, what else could you get away with? All of this was part of the Trump show and provided him with a word that won’t come in to my head right now, so I’ll say a feeling of agreement that he’s doing fine and everything he’s doing is okay, because if it wasn’t, someone would have called him out on the fake wife. But they didn’t and this gave him strength.

It could be that I’m reading way too much in to this. It’s mere conjecture on my part and his missus may have been on yoyo diets, which would explain the obvious changes in weight and the shape of her face. So much of our lives are based around fake personas in order to make our real lives look and feel better. Image is everything (it’s not really) and we need to project an image where everything is looking great. Not doing so is weakness. But in the end, just like the man with the most powerful job in the world, that world based on lies will come crashing down on you.

I feel sorry for the fake Melania(s) now. The real one will be far in the distance now and there will be no more need for them.
