Never waste a day in the sun.
My situation is still in the balance, but I feel great. It’s amazing what a bit of sunshine and warmth can do. It’s 1639 and at this time of year, the sun shines in to the corner where my bird feeders are. That’s where I am now, randomly applying for jobs and hoping to take a great photo or two. So far, I’ve taken some decent ones that match other decent ones, and I’m fine with that.
I have no idea how much sun I need for enough vitamin D, but I do know that I’ve spent too many days at work inside when I should have been outside. I’ve also spent way too many days inside. And so, I’m outside now, waiting for a sparrowhawk to swoop.

I looked out of the window this morning and saw this. My new hawks aren’t very effective at the moment and I like that. Something else I like is that there seems to be enough bird life in the area for a breading pair, which is big news for me. There’s always a bird!
I have my Chromebook Mk II with me, and if anyone sees me it looks like I’m working from home. I think it does anyway. One thing for sure is that I feel a lot less self concious than I would normally be. On the other hand, if people weren’t working from home, they wouldn’t be around to see me in the first place. None of which changes how far in the sh1t i am. Luckly, the air is good and I can take a few deep breaths. You’d have think I had enough of them on today’s bike ride.
The feeders are a bit quiet at the moment. Once I go back inside, I’m pretty sure they’ll be full again and a sparrowhawk will come back. I’ll be here tomorrow and the day after to make the most of this. It looks like doing nothing, but it’s doing something. I’ll only feel worse if I don’t.
My peace and tranquility has been shattered by a police helicopter hovering overhead. Now that we have great weather, we could be looking forward to a riot season, but probably they are filming people breaking the relaxed lockdown rules – whatever they are!
That’s me done. I have stuff to do.
