A big shout out to Ecuador!
I have very little to say. Somehow, I made it through another week. And I’m back in the place that gave me a bad head last week. The difference is that I have a laptop with me this time. It’s a work laptop, but it will do. Anyone watching wouldn’t know the difference, but I do. But it’ll do, and that’s the last time I’ll mention work except to say how stressful and time consuming it can be. Work is just another kind of slavery. It looks like a choice, but it’s not.
I never used to get a bad head drinking in this brewery. Having said that, I never ordered a can of 12% imperial to take home with me. After two drinks I wouldn’t have, but the third one tipped the balance and damaged my weekend a little. And a better person than myself wouldn’t have drank the second half of the can the next day, but I’m not a better person than me, I’m me, so I did.
After finishing my first drink and processing the past seven days, I’ve decided to mention that the Olympics is going on, and leave it there. It deserves a long rant of it’s own and I want to compare what I’m going to write, with what I’ve written in the past. I’m sure there’s at least one blog on the subject out there. Now I’m thinking about it, I’ll go two town and have fun doing it.
Something’s changed. My mental blocks have moved out of the way for a little while. Or perhaps, I’ve moved out of the way. Who knows. Who cares! But there is a chance that I’ve moved in to reverse and haven’t passed them at all, which makes me feel a little sad and at the same time have the comfort of moving back to a known situation. Either way, it means I can relax over the weekend. That doesn’t mean that I won’t be doing things on my work laptop, but it does mean that the pressure is off and I can have a play with investment time.
In summary: Life is tough and it will knock you down sometimes. Enjoy the good days, as they can be fleeting. And put the extra effort in when you need to. That way the hard times are easier, and you’re ready for the good times.
Back to my beer!
