Tired

I’m so tired. And everything hurts!

Sparrowhawk

I’m going straight in with a sparrowhawk picture, through the window, with my new camera. Birds appear when I need them. This one was from yesterday and needing to escape the office because I was so tired and cold.

Yesterday was my first time back in the office after two weeks with the Covids. I’m negative, but I don’t feel right right now. Being ill takes its toll. Viruses are clever little fuckers. Just when you think you’re well, it will jump up and get you.

The War in Europe is still going on. Petrol prices are going up, and we are sending warm thoughts to Ukraine. That’s about it from what I can work out. Bad shit it going down, and we need to work out how not too look to bad when the history books are written.

Today is Tuesday and I’m in the pub, because I can be, and because I’ve spent enough time at home in the last two weeks, and because drinking dulls the pain in my body. It’s warmer here too, with a real fire not far away.

Some time in the future I’ll learn how to sober blog, but not yet. The drink lets me type. The quality may be a casualty, but at least I’m doing it. Something is always better than nothing, and you never know where it will take you. And I really want to take myself somewhere. Anywhere will be good right now. Warmth would be good. God I need warmth! A holiday isn’t far away! I need to do it soon. I’m going to Andalucía in Spain. My mind has been made up, and I’m going before May. An over-long weekend will do it. But I’ll probably end up in a tent in Dorset. And that’s not a bad thing. Dorset is lovely. But I do need a foreign holiday. It may be a pain in the arse, but I need to blog from a taverna.

Words are hard to find. I should go and find what I’m going to eat tonight. But if I do that, I’ll find more to drink. What can I do? I feel in the zone on a Tuesday and the world is great!

So that’s it. I’ll leave the warmth, and make some bad decisions for the rest of the evening! Wish me luck. I need it.
