Lost Lager

Where did all the beer go?

Ordering 24 cans of lager for 30 quid seemed like a good idea when I was paying slightly more than that for 12 cans and/or bottles. Logically, it was a great idea. Actually, logically it was a flawed idea, because there’s a reason why I avoid buying 24 cans of beer in one go. This is time to re-introduce the concept of one. That’s one can of beer, one four pack or beer, one box of beer, and so on. In this case, it was 2 x one box of 12 Lost Lagers. My mistake – amongst others – was opening the second box of one.

Whilst we’re still in our lockdown I don’t want to know where the beer went. Obviously, I know where I flushed it down, but I’m not ready to see the evidence yet. But the evidence can still be found. One of the services that hasn’t been running as usual is the re-cycling bin and that means that I have kept all of my re-cycling. So, when I’m ready to have a look, I’ll probably have a little shock. But what I’m not going to do is add to it for at least a week. Today has been hangover free, but I can’t really say that I’ve been on top form. The days can be tricky enough at the moment and it’s important to stay healthy and well. The photo opportuity will be worth it in the end, I’m sure. From now on, it may be better if I can count my blogs.

I need tomorrow to be more productive, but at least my car is booked in for its overdue MOT and service on Wednesday. That car is going to take me places when this mad time is over. It may be that this is the last car I ever own. Or at least the last petrol car I ever own, so I’d better take good care of it. My body is the only body I’ll ever have, so I’d better take good care of that too. And on the whole I’ve been doing enough running maintenance over the last two months the rest and exercise have been having a good effect.

There’s on last can on Lost Lager left in the fridge and the bottle of gin that I’ll never drink. I’m not going to touch either of them, but if I need to I’ll go back on the Skol or the own brand bitter. Not yet though.
