My efforts over the last 15 months have really paid off.
I’ve had enough of today. I had a minor success testing Paypal on my website store. Then something didn’t quiet work and then I realised why and couldn’t be bothered to change a couple of things to fix it. Perhaps I just don’t think it’s that important, or maybe it gives me something to do tomorrow. It’s almost time for an early night, but there’s a chance of a great metor shower tonight and there’s not a cloud in the sky.
Here’s some pictures from the last couple of days:

Of all the birds recently, it’s a female house sparrow visting my window feeder that’s made me happiest. Today, a male house sparrow was finding mealworm on the window ledge too, but he should have arrived earlier in my opinion. This is a sign that I’m doing someting right. There’s a good chance that not cutting the grass every week and using leaf blowers every couple of days has helped too. Maybe, at the end of all this lockdown business we’ll remember how the wildlife recovered. I doubt it though. My feeling is that the new normal we will all be living in soon will be worse than what we had before. But you never know.
The time is 2122 and it’s getting dark outside. I doubt if I would have driven anywhere to watch the light show. There have been a couple of times when I’ve done this, but the best dark stargazing locations are probably all dogging spots. So, what I’ll do is try and recover what’s left of the day and make the best use of my time. I have Radio 3 for company and there’s a chance I’ll find some creative inspiration – or not.
Having someting to do when you don’t want to do anything is really useful. Now I’m wondering what I’ll see in the sky if I use binoculars. There’s only one way to find out – from my window. But it would be great to get out for a little drive. The feeling that I can’t do it, even if I wasn’t going to is becoming annoying. I think I just need a change of scene. There’s so much to do and at the same time there’s so much I can get away with not doing. So, a bike ride in the morning may be a good idea. That’s after I drop my car in for its service and MOT. The overdue service and MOT. Do not forget about the car in the morning!
I’m off to spend a little more time staring at stars out of the window. Maybe I’ll see a bat!
