Time for another bike ride.
I didn’t see any shooting stars last night. Sleep seemed much more important, eventhough there was a point where I never thought I’d fall asleep. I’m thinking that I ate too much cheese, and tortillas. Anyway, I was wide awake at 0600 then had a nap until 0730 and remembered that my car needed to go to the garage.
Now is a great time for a bike ride. Having a ride would be great right now, but I have things to do. It helps that it will be a great day all day. And I need to add to my activity. This is what I’ve been doing since I started getting out again. It’s not a lot, but it’s enough.

When I do go out today, I’ll take it a bit easier. Attacking a long segment and being only 8 seconds off my best really takes it out of you. On the positive side, I’m still ranked 19th in Strava and I’m happy with that.
Given that it’s 6th May and the weather is sunny I thought I’d have seen some fledglings by now. I’m pretty sure that I was face to face with a young starling yesterday, but maybe I was wrong. It can’t be long now before more photo opportunities come my way. I’m expecting yo be swamped by young goldfinches and starlings, unless they have a better place to hang out.
I’ve cleaned the window now, but here’s a shot of the female house sparrow who’s been visiting:

And another:

Your rarely get perfect in life, but the imperfect is perfect. These little visits are brilliant and they’ve taken over a year to happen. I definitely may have probably confused this little spuggy with a greenfinch from a distance.
I have too much to do to push on with this entry. It’s time to fuel up for a bike ride and give my brain some energy.
